"Anima 101" is the new EP by Acid Youth aka Davide Glaser Nicosia. Written and recorded in Bologna during the summer of 2022, it depicts the quiet that an empty city can offer in the hot months. The absence of anxiety and frenzy is felt in each of the EP tracks. If "Reverse Darkness" arose from the dark trying to reach some light, "Anima 101" is born in the sun and there is willing to stay.

Acid Youth continues its research and definition of a new sound palette as started in the previous project. Analog synthesizers represent a fundamental element of each track along with digital sounds and wind instruments. The result is a delicate balance between analog warm, digital precision and the natural beauty of human inaccuracy.

"Anima 101" is the opening track titling the EP and is built on the positive tension between the relentless SH-101 bassline and the melody of a distorted MS-20.
In "Acid Is Easy" the acid line of 303 is paired with a dreamy pad and a clarinet played by Matteo D'Amaro, Davide’s good friend.
"Fiori Neri" is the beatless track that closes the EP with its psychedelic harmony between a suspended chord, the 303, an SH arpeggio and the clarinet by Matteo.
